A LETTER FROM OUR PRESIDENT

Welcome to the Alpha Kappa Chapter of Alpha Delta Pi!

My name is Lily Applegate, and I am honored to be serving as our Chapter President this year. I am a Junior from Wake Forest, North Carolina, majoring in Marketing in the Haslam College of Business.

Coming from out of state, I knew when going through recruitment I was looking for a chapter where I could be myself and find my life long friends. Stepping into ADPi I immediately knew I found what I was looking for. I can truly say I have found my home away from home and the memories I’ve made so far will last a lifetime. The women I have met in ADPi continue to inspire me everyday and are there for me in ways I didn’t even know I needed. To be able to lead such an amazing chapter is something that I am grateful for everyday. These girls make me proud to call myself an ADPi and I hope to be more like them everyday. 

As Chapter President I am eager every day to show up for my chapter in every way they need me. To be a leader, a supporter, and their friend, I want everyone to know that this chapter, and myself, will show up for them in all ways. Every woman in this chapter stands by our open motto: "We live for each other." Our sisters have a wide variety of talents, interests and involvements, making our chapter a vibrant group on campus. I am so proud that each member brings something different to our sisterhood, truly making it what it is. I couldn't ask for a better group of women and friends to surround myself with every day.

The future is bright with the women of Alpha Delta Pi. I am beyond excited to see all that the Alpha Kappa Chapter will accomplish this year. I hope that this chapter knows how grateful I am for them and all that they have brought to my life. It truly is a gift to serve as Chapter President this year, and I cannot wait for the memories to come.
